Class of 2007

It's 5:30 am, but Alexa Scordato isn't sleeping. She's probably finishing an American Studies paper, working on the Mortarboard, and finishing a Bulletin article, all while three prospective students are sleeping on her floor. With an unparalleled knowledge of boy band dance moves she is always there to reminisce about the glory of 90s pop music, or just to bless us with her contagious laugh (Seriously, just try not laughing after you hear it. It's impossible). Alexa is always there to give us chills with her soulful singing, as a shoulder to cry on, and to tell it like it is when something's "wack". It takes someone as confident and talented as Alexa to do her four years of Barnard time in three, and she does it with style.

Class of 2008

Laura Zellerbach, affectionately called Lo, is Bacchantae's tour nazi and human memo pad. Can't remember a date or vocal part? Laura's on it faster than you can say "kickenseplein!" Outside of Bacchantae, you'll find this SanFran mountain camper tearin' up the NYC party scene... the children's birthday party scene, that is, a la Kidville. Or maybe you'll find her reciting her psych textbook word for word. Rehearsal would not be the same without Laura's random outbursts and Buddha-belly impersonations. A friend to the end, Laura's love of laughter and heart of gold are sure to give folks 'something to talk about' for years to come.

Worldly and wise beyond her years, Adrienne Stillman is the devoted and uber-meticulous, business savvy treasurer of Bacchantae. Don't be surprised if you see this cool, confident, fresh-faced Upper East Side gal holding her own alongside Wall Street power players or impersonating Parisians with her flawless French. "Dreen" or "bebe" is always game for preparing a home cooked meal, pointing her perfect ballerina feet, and belting those soprano notes into the stratosphere. Whether she's stranded in an airport or stuck in a car in the south of Spain, an 8 am breakfast will keep this problem solver satisfied. Oh and p.s. she's the prettiest one...because we said so!

Miss Gabriella Theisen is Bacchantae's token JTS/GS sorority hottie. When she's not putting us in stitches with her ghetto-fabulous expressions, she can be found with a cup of Tasti-D tanning and match-making on Low steps - that is, when she's not too busy in Butler studying Jewish philosophy! Boys, you better watch out, as "Tice" will tell you herself in her solo debut of Jojo's "Leave" - this is one Bacchantae who is not afraid to tell you when to get out. Whether rocking us with her pop-tastic voice, trekking to Kitchenette for an early morning breakfast, or calling to say she'll "be right there - wait, where are we meeting again?", Gaby is living proof that the best presents always come in small packages.

Ever feel the urge to bust out and sing 90's music? Have a tune at the tip of your tongue but just can seem to remember how it goes? We've all been there and it can be rough. Next time you're feelin' that urge, don't panic! The very beautiful Allison Cramer can kiss your nostalgia goodbye. With her supah human juke box skillz, and a voice as clear as crystal, she'll sweetly serenade you with any song imaginable (preferably NYSNC, 3LW, or LFO) And that's not all. A fabulous housemate, calm, caring, and confidant, this American Studies major is a hit with all the boys and makes her Rockville Centre roots proud. We dare you to take a bad picture of her... she's the most photogenic gal we know! With her first year in Bacchantae under her belt, we can all agree that Ali has added a splash to our music and to our lives.

Class of 2009

Captain Celine Sparrow, aka Selena/Rico Suave, is a quadralingual, Latina wannabe, French/Bostonian goddess of a first year. Bacchantae's leading bass, she is one of the finest beat boxers the group has ever seen and one of the silliest and most heartwarming people to ever grace Barnard’s campus! When she isn't singing at the bottom of the ocean, percussing up a storm, or speaking French, Spanish or Chinese, you might find her cracking outrageous jokes, shaking her groove thang or studying to be a world-famous M.D. What's the only thing greater than Celine's love for Bacchantae? Bacchantae's love for her! (awww, we know, we know.)

Michele "Mike" Guide is a freshman Barnard Bacchantae, praised for her musical prowess and dazzling dynamics. Whether she's tickling the ivories or singing to the likes of Regina Spektor and Bjork, Mike's musical flair is an incredible asset to the group. You can usually catch her full-body conducting, keeping perfect rhythm, or rhyming -- oops, i mean, working... at Sip as a barista. Capture this Montclaire, NJ native’s heart and she might even write you a sonnet or two. Oh, and in case you were wondering, no she will NOT be afraid of women.

Stephanie Kurzis a Sophomore transfer student from Brandeis University, and her love and knowledge of all-female a cappella are a fantastic contribution to Bacchantae. Full bio on its way!

Shaina Rubin is a bay area beauty and a great addition to Bacchantae. This Columbia Sophomore's jazz sound is known to get a bit CRAZY. Full bio on its way!

Isabel Yerkes is a Sophomore transfer student from UCBerkeley, and this Napa Valley native's crisp clear high notes might just give you the chills. Full bio on its way!

Class of 2010

Laura Diefenbach is a sweet and soulful singer from Honesdale, Pennsylvania, and is a Barnard Freshman. Full bio on its way!

Liz Noth is a Barnard Freshman with a gospel sound and heart, and if you're lucky you may get to hear her belt out a motown classic. Full bio on its way!
